Mario Golf: World Tour DLC

So Nintendo has been a little late to get on the DLC bandwagon. While most companies have been on the DLC train for several years, it wasn't until recently that Nintendo started doing it, with games like New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Mario Bros. 2. This time, Nintendo is going to have a ton of DLC for their upcoming golf game, Mario Golf: World Tour, soon to be released for the 3DS on May 2nd. Nintendo is even doing this "Season Pass" thing, which I still have no idea what that means. My news articles sure are professional, aren't they?

Anyway, what do you guys make of this whole DLC thing? Is it good that Nintendo finally boarded the DLC train, or is this a black omen of dark things to come? I know nobody really cares about Mario Golf, so make the discussion about DLC rather than fat Italian plumbers hitting golf balls.

That's pretty interesting. I never expected Nintendo to do the whole season pass thing. I'd love to see DLC characters in the upcoming Smash Bros.

Season Pass just means you pay for all the DLC before they come out, usually for less cost.

I don't know, man. I just don't know. In some ways I like the idea. It means we can get new stages and characters for games we already like. On the other hand, I doubt I'd buy any of it, because I don't much care for digital goods--Steam notwithstanding.
