Tastes change, I try new stuff, and things slip my mind. I'm human.
This list is compiled at no discredit to my previous one. Rather, these entries rank alongside. Think of them both as one list, but each number has two games listed. The games listed here should be treated with just as much esteem as the others.

Released initially for the 3DS as part of the Guild01 project in Japan Crimson Shroud has since been released on its own in both Japan and abroad. Directed by Yasumi Matsuno (Director of Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together and Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen) it is a somewhat traditional RPG that pays great homage to tabletop RPGs such as Dungeon and Dragons or Shadowrun.

The internet has said enough about this game.
I don't have particular attachment to when or how I played this; it was one of the first ones I played when I had discovered emulator's, and it stuck with me.

By the power of the Crown of Wishes, I, Desmond Moonstride, commission you.
The Crown of Wishes.
Legend had it that a glorious crown resided deep within the mountains. This crown contained numerous precious gems, and each gem held more power than that of the most renowned wizards. Those who wore the crown could have any wish that they could possibly imagine granted to them. Of course, such a legend did not come without warning, and it dictated that many had set out in search of this magnificent artefact only to fail, never to be seen again.
Desmond Moonstride was quite willing to accept that risk.

Who knew; who guessed, who could tell; I play visual novels.
What of it? I've mentioned so many times that I adore good writing in games. Visual Novels are kinda the top peak of these, while retaining some form of 'gameplay' to them. They live and die on the quality of their writing, because other than the art and music, there ain't much else to keep you going.

I feel like gushing on good writing.
I have a distant memory of my older brother and a cousin-of-similar-age-to-my-brother looking through a thick book. It said 'Rulebook' on the front, but had very interesting cover art. The two of them seemed to think it was the coolest thing ever. I asked if I could read it, but of course, being the little brother, I wasn't allowed to. I wasn't cool enough, apparently. (how can someone tell if someone else is cool enough? Is there a unit of measurement...?)

Sometimes, things work out just right.
You can slave away on a project for months, and it'll only come out 'merely okay'. Pour your heart and soul into it, and it'll be recieved as strictly normal. That's always a possibility of the world. Just how it goes.
But then sometimes, it all just works perfect. The right people working on the right things at the right times with the right help. It all comes together into something amazing.
Such is what I like to think is the c

I will admit to being a bit jaded and ornery when it comes to the games I like.
There are some games that people expect me to love, and yet I'll have only a few good things to say about them. And yet, other games that even I wasn't expecting to like, I absolutely adore. In cases like that, it's usually some indefinable quality that I can't put into words that makes all the difference. I'll say outright the flaws to be had in the game, and yet confess undying love for it regardless. I
